Tuesday is my busiest day of the week. In the morning I arrive in my office at 7.15 and I check my e-mails, I then go for a coffee to make sure I am awake before I start teaching.
My first class is at 11am but before I go in I have to make sure that I have marked all the tests the students have done and I mark their coursework. In the class they sit and ask me any questions they want about the work I asked them to complete before they turned up.
After the class I have a big lunch as I then have a four hour lab session with other students – they get to do experiments which involve big flames (which change colour depending on the chemicals present) and liquids that change colour as they add more chemicals.
