  Hi Elise, great question! When I first started working with chemicals from orange peel and pine trees it was really my boss’ idea. He came up with it and asked me to work on that project. I’ve been doing my work for about two years now though and I’m not starting to have lots of ideas of my own of how to make those things into plastics! And even some different things!
  
  I’m working towards getting a PhD in chemistry – a big part of doing that is starting to have your own ideas! Not all of them are good ideas but I hope some will be great!
