I am a modeller and as such I work large datasets using models and computer codes. I used to work with particulates and gas samplers.

Hi Greensnake! I also use a computer every day ? ? but I am now setting up some experiments to go and measure trees in a forest ?, where I will use lots of different equipment!
I used to use a machine called a “mass spectrometer” which helps you work out which chemicals things are made off

I work in a lab so I use lots o equipment very day! I use lots of special glassware that all have different uses like beakers and measuring cylinders ⚗ I have special machines that way up and stir my reactions automatically for me! Some of my reactions use some dangerous chemicals so I have to handle them in a glovebox – that’s a special box that is full of argon gas. Argon is really unreactive so won’t react with my chemicals! The glove box has gloves so I can work inside. You can see a picture of me working in it on my profile: /climatem16-zone/profile/helenaquilter/

I also use some really big machines to test what molecules I’ve made. I use one called a mass spectrometer, which tells me how if my molecule is and one machine that tells me work out what the structure is!
