      Hi Rabbit22,
I measure the chemistry of tiny fossils. The fossils are made of a mineral called calcium carbonate which dissolves in acid. So I dissolve my samples and then run them through a machine called a mass spectrometer, this machine breaks the dissolved sample down into its elements and then measures the concentration of the elements in the sample.
