• Question: Does war pollute the air and is it becoming more, and more of a danger?

      Hello Megan

      That’s an interesting question and although I haven’t studied it I would say that it does for the following reasons:

      1. When a bomb explodes it will give off dust – in air pollution terms this is known as ‘particulate matter’. This wouldn’t last long as the dust will settle.
      2. There will be chemicals in the bombs and any buildings.

      I can’t answer if it’s getting any worse but I would have thought that being at war is far more dangerous than the air quality
