Hi FATCHEEKS ? ? yes penguins will be affected because they like to live in cold places ⛄ – as the planet gets warmer and warmer, fewer places are cold enough for them to live ?

They mainly live in Antarctica, but also on the southern coasts of Argentina & Chile, Australia & New Zealand, and South Africa but they will be forced to move further South as temperatures rise due to climate change.

Hey there! Penguins are affected by climate change. As Cat said – penguins like living in cold places so if the planet is warming up there will be fewer cool places for the Penguins to live. They can get a bit confused too if their homes are changing. Did you hear about the Emporer penguin that was found in New Zealand – it got a bit lost and confused! Scientists think it got confused because the ocean was warmer and maybe it was having to travel further to find food! he was eating sand thinking it was snow to try and cool himself down. They called him Happy Feet and it turned out OK – he got a lift home!
