Since I became a scientist I have travelled to Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the United States of America (San Francisco) and China (Nanjing). Flying is not very good for the climate, so I try not to travel by plane very often. In April I am going to Vienna in Austria for a big conference, so am taking the train all the way from Leeds, through the Eurotunnel and then through Belgium and Germany to get there.
Great question – I have been to Italy, Portugal, Greece, Slovakia, Tunisia, Morocco and Ireland. Within Britain I have travelled to London and Birmingham (usually by train to try and avoid flying to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released).
I’ve been to Italy, Unites States of America, Germany, the Netherland, France, Nigeria and several places in the UK. It’s been pretty interesting to travel around for meetings and conferences to discuss science.
