We can all contribute to reduce global warming by refusing to pollute the air around us. We should embrace environmentally friendly energy sources and cars.

Reduce the amount of fossil fuels we burn and/or think of ways to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. There are possibly also cool the atmosphere for example by putting in dust to reflect the sunlight, these techniques are known as geoengineering.

The best way to stop global warming is to reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases, we can do this by not wasting energy (like by turning the TV or lights off when you’re not in a room), recycling, and walking / cycling rather than going places in the car! ? when you are older and get to choose which kind of electricity for your house to use, you can choose a renewable type like solar or wind power ☀ ?

Hi there! As Gabriel, Elaine and Cat said there are things we can do to stop global warming like stopping how much carbon dioxide we put into the atmosphere!

One way to do this is to stop using fossil fuels – that’s things like coal and oil. Fossil fuels are things we have dug out of the ground and took millions of years to form. They contain lots of carbon so when we burn them we produce carbon dioxide gas. One thing we can to is try to trap that carbon dioxide so it isn’t released into the air. That’s called carbon capture and there are lots of scientists trying to work out clever ways to do that.

Another thing we can do is try to use renewable energy. When we say renewable energy we mean energy sources that aren’t used up when we use them. So when we burn coal we use it all up. We can get renewable energy from the sun using solar panels or from wind using wind turbines. These things will make a big difference!

To stop global warming we need all the countries in the world to try their best to make less pollution. There are things that we can all do to make a bit of a difference too – like turning off electrical things like computers and TVs when we’re not using them! I like to cycle and get the train to work instead of driving so I make less pollution!

Everybody else has given great answers – we can all do little things such as walk to school or the shops so that we don’t use our cars and stop polluting the atmosphere
