• Question: does climate change have a relation with the core of the earth

      No we don’t think so. Some people have suggested that climate change might be caused by changes to the temperature in the Earth’s core – but actually, the amount of heat that makes it out from the Earth’s core to affect the climate at the surface is very small.

      I think you’re right, Cat! There are some people who believed that the temperature at the Earth’s core had a big impact but that’s been pretty much been proved wrong now. We know now that climate change has been caused by greenhouse gases that we have made by burning fossil fuels for energy! Sometimes things like volcanic eruptions can add to that a little bit – but it’s the gases rather than the heat!
