      Hi Sup,

No my experiments are all on the computer, so I don’t need any liquids!

I do. The experiments I was doing two weeks ago was looking at polluted water and how different ways of cleaning it up. I also have students who do experiments with lots of different liquids when they do the labs

I do! I use liquids that can be extracted from plants. One that I use is called limonene – it’s an oil that’s found in orange peel and is what makes oranges smell really orangey! I use it to try to make plastics but it’s found in lots of other things. It’s used in lots of things like shower gels and cleaning products because it smells really nice!

I also use lots of liquids called solvents. A solvent is just a liquid that can dissolve a solid so technically water is a solvent. Some solids won’t dissolve in water though so I have to use some other liquids to do my reactions. Some of them are quite smelly!
