We asked Cat to tell us about winning I’m a Scientist, and here is what she said… 

Hi everyone!

Wow – what an honour to have won this year’s I’m a Scientist Climate Change Zone! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me!!

I genuinely couldn’t have imagined how much fun taking part in IAS was going to be – thanks so much for all the brilliant questions you guys sent in. Many of the questions made me think about things that I haven’t thought about for years and reminded me why I became a scientist in the first place 😀

I’ve also had the opportunity to make some new scientist friends! Helena, Iain, Gabriel and Elaine, it was a real pleasure to “meet” you guys and I hope we can keep in touch in the coming years – look me up if you’re ever in Leeds!

Lastly a massive thank you to the organisers and moderators of the event, I gained an appreciated of how much hard work this must be, so well done!
